What more do we need to see, to see the world for what it has become? For decades we have bemoaned a system that exploits us and bleeds us spiritually dry while running marketing campaigns that sell us things we do not need appealing to our most basic of animalistic desires.

We plunder the earth, strip it of cobalt mined by the raw bleeding hands of children, of slaves, only to be able to flash a new model of a smartphone only different in that it takes sharper images than cameras that take sharper images than the eye can see. We watch in horror as an entire people is decimated and we are cunningly convinced it's religious when in fact it's about gas and domination.

We speak of Freedom but do any of us know what it is to Be Free? Freedom is advertised as a bottle in your hand, an intoxication, a qualification, a beach vacation but when we sober up, the qualification is useless and the vacation picture is photoshopped.

Nomisupasta's debut single after a long hiatus, a precursor to more work to come interrogates freedom and offers her understanding of what it truly means to #BeFree
